I'm also very exited that I'll be releasing my third little texture collection very soon.
It's called 'Ballerina Stories' ♡ I'm giving you a preview on one the textures in my collection along playing with my favorite texture from Kim Klassen.
Here is my little piece of textured art for today ♡
Before texturing |
After two layers of Kim Klassen 'Grunged up' (Soft light 100% & Hard light 80% ) |
After two layers of 'Ballerina' (Multiply 53%, Soft light 80%) |

Hi Mona,
ReplyDeleteI am an absolutely big Fan of your textured photos!
I also love to edit my pictures.
So I have a fundamental question:
What is the important thing to prepare the shooting scene for textured pictures?
Is your daughter sitting under a white soft curtain?
Thanks for answering,
many greetings!
I am looking forward to you next wonderful pictures!
Brigitte
Hi Brigitte! Thanks for your kindest comment ♥
DeleteThe best way for me to get images that are easy to texture is to use a solid one colored background.
I will be sharing some set ups in my upcoming posts! I took some pictures from this particular shoot :)
That is actually a big white sheet I've hanged to my wall and she is sitting on it - it's big enough to cover closet behind and wooden floor. I have a very small house with small rooms - REALLY nothing to count as a studio :D So I always have to be quite inventive with my setups :D And I have two lams that are very essential since we get almost no daylight during winter.
I hope this message finds you well and let me know if I can help in another way!
Thank you so much!
DeleteI will try it!!!
Bye.
a beautiful photo and texture. I love the name of your textures - ballerina stories!
ReplyDeleteSuloinen balleriina siellä!!! <3
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Great job editing and congrats on your anniversary!
ReplyDeleteMona so beautiful what a pretty model and lovely textures.
ReplyDeletePretty in Pink - love all versions!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your anniversary of blogging!
ReplyDeleteMona...I shoot in front of a south facing window most of the time...I don't do kids so I don't have to worry about natural skin tones, etc but I hear you about having to get creative
ReplyDeleteYou are very talented. I would not have a clue on how to do that but my daughter might who is a graphic artist.
ReplyDeleteI just turned the page on my third year, the time flies doesn't it! You photo and texture work is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Mona, Happy New year and congrats on your anniversary. Your textures are bright and so colorful
ReplyDeleteThis is such a precious shot in every way possible. Congrats on your anniversary! Your textures are lovely.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Texture Twist.
As always, you have such beautiful work!! Your girls are such dolls!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful texture, photo, and of course the wonderful little model. So many pictures you will have to cherish later in life. I love looking at all the photos of my children when they were small and growing up. Sadly, a lot of them are fading because it was before the digital era and I have saved some to disk, but some printed photos just don't hold up like others and then I probably didn't have the best film camera around. :)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet, Happy Blog Anniversary.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous collection - I've always loved your processing. Congrats on the anniversary!
ReplyDeleteYour ballerina texture is lovely! Just the right shade of pink, and so delicate. Congratulations on all you have accomplished in 2 years! I always marvel at your talent.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful... visiting from both Kim's place and Life-n-Reflection. Congrats on you anniversary.
