Daisies
Oh my I've been busy! August almost gone... girls in school, work is fine... days seem so short when there is so much to do. I got my much needed break this weekend. Sunny days and apple picking. Slow mornings and a bicycle trip to a field of daisies. Just perfect!

Annual Sunflowers
Middle August and those big fat beautiful sunflowers are open. We hit the field briefly, on a very sunny and windy day. Not at all ideal for photo session. I might try again one day but I'm sharing a couple of snaps here anyway!
Take a look of 2015 session or 2014 session if you wish :)

Harvest
The first apples are ready. One foot in summer. One foot in autumn. I can't help it - I'm already hearing whispers of autumn. Kids are back to school next week and it's so exciting again to have a first-grader in the house! I'm starting a new job, we are renovating our house and then there are all the dance and sport classes starting etc. etc. And it's time to harvest. Jam, juice, pies, dried and fresh ones. Busy times. New beginnings. Ideas and projects. Waiting for the new season already.

Somewhere in Finland
Hello you all! Sorry for the silence; we've been so busy enjoying the summer and holiday. I've got one more week and then I'm back to work... We spent ten days in beautiful Budapest spending most of the time bathing and every second picture has kids in their bikinis... I still have to go through the photos and see if there is something to share. But here is some random pictures from Finnish Summer. And in just few days it's time put up a month in photos!

Midsummer ♥
I can't believe it's already midsummer! Or actually that's over as well....
I still have a few boxes of last summer berries in my refrigerator. Maybe it's the Nordic in me, but I never quite believe summer is really here until June is over and done. After years filled with brief moments of blissful warm followed by week of rain and cold, I just don't trust the season arriving early. But this year it really did. We've been living in wonderful full summer from early May and I couldn't be more thankful for it. We need to get rid of the last year berries soon. One week and my summer holiday will start!!

a lover of rain
I'm a little sorry for my children who spent Saturday mainly inside because of the rain that continued for three days. But I'm also happy because at the moment I find rain so comforting and relaxing. There is something I just love about grey skies that I can't quite explain. Rain and a good cup of coffee made my weekend perfect. Sunday was a little better weather-wise and yes, it was to good to get out and marvel all the green around us.
