Gray scale with roses

So we have snow...! And it's been so cold it stays. Somewhat beautiful but not just enough to beat the ugly gray scale of everything nowadays. I have a soar throat and a little headache which annoys me a lot since I would have needed this weekend to enjoy. But I bought roses and I have some good reading and a blanket to help me create some harmony and joy. We even went winter swimming, the lake is already frozen! And later in the evening we'll make a fire and have a glass of wine.

heard no more...

October favorites

Those muted tones... the beauty of brown! October foliage has it's special kind of beauty that makes Autumn my favorite season. Colder weather provides the perfect atmosphere for certain kind of coziness. I happen to love big sweaters, grey wooden socks, hot tea and books. Combining this with a cat and covers makes this all oh so sweet. In case you didn't get it - I love Autumn!

A month in photos {September 2016}

Time to say goodbye to September! Despite we were sick most of the month, it was still beautiful. Falling leafs everywhere, cooler days, loads of tea, no more sandals. Dusk crawling in earlier and earlier... unforgettable moments together casually in front of TV. Puzzles and books. Simple everyday loaded with little things.

September favorite...

Quiet living and pink hydrangea

In early September I made the decision to simplify my life as much as I can. I think I wouldn't have succeed without the horrific flu that actually forced me. It's never fun being sick but this time it thought me quite a lot. I've said no to everything, I've left most of the social stuff and stopped doing a crazy amount of things. I'm choosing carefully where to place my energy. Instead of rushing, I take a breath and slow down. Still not living the actual slow life nor meditate... but at least I had the time to shoot my pink hydrangea.

Goodbye Summer

Few days ago I picked the last flowers of the season. They were so beautiful and putting them in a pot delighted me as much as the first flowers in Spring. But today was a cold day. We need to start heating and I might have to give up on cardigans and change them into a decent jacket.
So with these pictures I'm saying goodbye to Summer... fulfilled and gratefully!

enough to say
goodbye, life will
rewards you with a
new hello

Mid-September

This is a quick hello between all the hustle. September starts with a decent flu in addition to all the work, school and hobbies. Our little one turned seven years, oh my! Time is flying with increasing pace...  I'm trying to find my balance and peace by pausing for a moment here and there. Just to take a deep breath, long shower, a big hug or a slow walk. Just pressing the shutter in a tiny moment of stillness.

I'm all behind with answering your comments and making visits! I'm hoping to get there as soon as I find time :)

Shorter days

It's here! Dear November! With its drizzly rain, cold weather, and short, dark days, sometimes it seems like November is the cruelest month, or at least the most hated. I happen to love it however. The shorter days and darkness feels cozy and nothing can beat the comfort of warm sweaters, fuzzy socks and candles (yes, we will be fed up with them in six months...). This is the season of novels, baking, lanterns and the wait of Christmas! It's time to enjoy peppermint, gingerbread and cinnamon flavored everything. And on the top of it nature tones have turned from multicolored explosion to beautiful soft gray and brown. Just take a look...
