A month in photos {April 2015}

Welcome to share your month in photos!

April came and so did the spring. Unfortunately we spent most of this beautiful month being sick. Nevertheless we are fine now and this beautiful Thursday on the last day of April is going to be our little spring celebration. And with celebration I mean a little run, sauna with kids, ice cream, TV and and a good night sleep. And a glass of wine ;)

an extraordinary life and ordinary one
is the extraordinary pleasures
you find in ordinary things"

This picture of me and my girls taking a Saturday walk in the forest was my this month favorite.

Sunshine and smiles

I'm grateful for my photography and how it encourages me to slow down and take the time to notice hat makes today special. My photography is my journal for documenting the daily changes, soak it all in and create these memories for my children. I'm so grateful for these precious moments that go by so fast: Saturdays, sunshine and smiles. And that I will be able to look back at them.

Heavy wind, absent mind and tiny blue flowers

for whatever we lose
(like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves
we find in the sea

Today was a windy day. And yesterday was windy too. I don't remember if it was the same on the day before that, but even if it wasn't, it's storming inside my head anyway.

There are so many things... happening or about to happen. The spring, tiny blue flowers and the whole rebirth of nature. The chaos in the living room, me sitting there on the corner of the couch with poetry or prose and sometimes being unsure about what's actually fact and what's fiction. I'll have to pinch myself to realize that I've actually thrown away those favorite jeans (that haven't fit me for seven years) and that I've resigned from my current day-job.

This is all good. For once in while I really need to blow my own damn mind.

I'll smile in May

I'm restless.
Things are calling
me away. My hair is
being pulled by the
stars again.

-Anais Nin

Past weeks have been disasters. In addition to kids being sick all the time I've personally attained two gastroenteritis, two flues and two sinusitis in past five weeks. No need to say that this really sucks. Being sick is the biggest waste of time in the wold. Especially in spring. There was Easter, warm weekends, canceled plans and million thing to do. The sun isn't a comfort at the time. It just underlines the fact that everything is bright and vital. Everything but me.

And before you say it...
I know it could be worse and there is a new day tomorrow! I'll smile in May.
