Freaking Frost and Textured Portraits

Winter is really here. The frost is so hard it's almost freaking me out! Holidays are over and we go to work and kids to school and daycare. I worry that their little cheeks will freeze but we have survived and now when weekend arrives, we will hide ourselves in quilts and spend the days in the corner of our sofa huddling close and watching TV.

I've seen some gorgeous frosty pictures but I refuse to go outside to capture it.
If you wish to see what it looks like here, see this video! (I'm sorry it has an ad in the beginning - wait and it starts).

"I wonder if snow loves trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently?
And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt;
and perhaps it says, go to sleep darlings, till the summer comes again"
- Lewis Carrol

So, I've stayed inside. Creating portraits. Playing with textures. And I've managed to inspire myself! How did I stop using textures for so long?! Glad to have them back.
