Well... It was Friday, we had survived and it was Minea's name day. I don't know if it's actually an international habit but at least in Finland a name day is a tradition that consists of celebrating the day of the year associated with one's given day.
Nothing too fancy. But some flowers, pink bubbles, small pastries and a little present...
Suloiset pinkit kuvat! Viikko on ollut pitkä ja raskas täälläkin...huoh!
ReplyDeleteSo so beautiful again, Mona!
ReplyDeleteI love it!
I have never heard of celebrating name day. What is it? Is it the day on which they were born? It sounds like a wonderful idea. And without saying, your photography is as beautiful as ever, and the models are gorgeous little ones. :)
ReplyDeleteDo you celebrate name day every week?
Your photos tell the story of simple appreciation and gratitude. That little cake looks delicious and your girls are beautiful. You manage to capture their sweetness and innocence in a way only their mother could do. My favorite photo is the one of the two of them laughing - it makes me smile, too!
ReplyDeleteOi, miten kaunista!
ReplyDeleteMyöhästyneet onnittelut :)
I love your photos. I wish someday I can take something as awesome as these ones. I wish.
ReplyDeleteOh, so beautiful! I always thought a naming day was a lovely idea since I lived in Europe. I've just explained to my daughter and now she wants one! Thanks so much for linking up to #Expressions x

ReplyDeleteName day sounds fun! Any reason to celebrate is fun!! We do different days surrounding our kids adoptions: birthday, take home day, court finalization day, birthmother day, all kinds of things!
