Summer state of mind...

Now you really gotta stop wishing for the sunshine and start living in the rain... We've seen spending the Midsummer celebration with mostly rain in the +15 degrees. I'm wishing for the warm weather but meanwhile we are forced to create our summer state of mind with what we have. No sundresses but sweaters are better than quilted jackets and we are enjoying. Summer, being cold or not,  is a miracle that makes winter a distant memory and I'm grateful for that.

Lily of that very little valley ♡

My older girl told me one day she had found the most amazing forest with loads of Lily of the valleys. Oh my words it suddenly hit me... She is old enough to spend time time alone and she actually has a life outside our house. Realizing this hurt a little you know...

a ship

is safe

in harbor...

but that's not

what ships

are for.

Anyway she took us there. The forest turned out to be a small pathway with a few trees behind the school house but the flowers were many! ♡

A month in photos {May 2015}

Welcome to share your month in photos!

May was the beginning of Spring and so many other things. We've been running around enjoying every moment and I can't help feeling a little sad now when it's all coming to an end. The little one is going to be a preschooler and Minea finished her first class... I'm proud of her since her first year in school wasn't easy. Being a quiet, sensitive, slow learner she has been working at least twice as hard as the other children. All the children are happy to start their holidays but Minea is mainly relieved: allowed to spend time alone and enjoy silence. And I'm gonna let her do that.

Sometimes

my cheeks ♡

Midweek Musings

Bank Holiday. So welcome and greatly enjoyed. Midweek holidays always feel more special and appreciated than normal weekends or Sundays. I'm thankful for this special day, the sun and the spring. I found the time to to read, to have tea on the sofa, to bake some surprise strawberry muffins, to write my first action in Photoshop (!) and even to do nothing for a while...

Mine has been so happy with self-made presents, white roses, cheese cake (made by my husband), wood anemones, sunshine, refreshing wind, camera and LOVE.

Little Things Thursday

Sakura love ♡

I'm so excited to see the cherry trees bloom again. I was literally shaking when pushing the shutter over and over again. Capturing these beauties is an annual tradition and always such a pleasure!
I'm overwhelmed by this beauty... I'm so enchanted by their soft delicate petals, the sight that I had almost lost during the long year. This love grows year after year. Sakura love ♡
