Spring is here! April was beautiful. Full of life, everything happening too fast but still enjoyable. I'm taking a good look at my kids and I suddenly realize how much they've grown! Feels so bittersweet, like the harsh sunlight revealing all the mess and dirt in our house... windows would definitely need to be cleaned. All this mess and haste is also stopping me of creating and shooting and I'm now behind with all my projects as well as Making Films... May will be all about finding the balance....!
A little favorite of April

Spring in slow
I'm taking time for what's important. I'm taking it slow. I'm staying inside although the sun is shining and there is so much to do outside. I'm reading six books at the same time and watching too much television. I take long walks too. I've played board games with kids and snuggled on the couch in between them. I'm enjoying long breakfasts, a cat purring on my lap and ignoring all the haste.
If you're
always racing
to the next
moment, what
happens to the
one you're in?

Chrysanthemum Blue {and a little Time Lapse}
Spring is here. Little green here and there. It's just a matter of days and the landscape will have a completely new look. I'm desperately longing for flowers but since there aren't any yet I had to visit a florist. My store-bought blue spring đź’™ It's been too long since I've been shooting floral. Especially macros.
This week on Making Films the prompt was actually 'Go Wide' to produce Time Lapse movies. Sure I wanted some heavy beautifully drifting clouds ans sunsets but I haven't been that lucky... So I did something quick with my chrysanthemum instead.

Taking a moment
Now where is my spring? Some days are so warm and sunny. Others cold, windy, no sun. The crocuses and and snowdrops that were blooming the other day beside my jogging path pulled back and I can still spot some snow here and there. Even the birds are sleeping. I feel totally uninspired!
This week on Making Films we learned about slow motion and our prompt "Taking a moment" supposed to have yourself in the frame. I really struggled with making this video. First because of having so little time but also feeling pretty much uncomfortable in front of the camera. I ended up having several interpretations but you can watch one of them here.

Sunday Stories {and a Video Portrait}
I've learned my way to love Sundays. I used to clamor on about how Sundays are always depressing and no one likes them because they are the opening act for the most hated Monday.
But today I love them. Especially grey, rainy ones.
The weather is most mirthless and what better way to deal with it than feeling completely quilt-free and staying inside? Here I am, sitting next to the window when it's raining and watching the drops from against the glass, only to fall in long streaks and run into other drops along the way. The feeling I get when I realize, yes, I'll have to go back to real life tomorrow, but I still have a whole day ahead of me that is exactly what I want it to be.
And we took a little walk in the nature after all!
This week on Xanthe's Make Films Course we learned about music and audio and shooting video portraits. I'll have mine of Minea embedded at the very bottom of this post. It's still oh so hard and I'm still far from my visions but I realize I'm getting more and more comfortable frame by frame.

Seize that loveliness.
It has always been yours.
